how to get rid of "missing plugin" on chrome for .mov embedded

Hi,

today I faced a small and not yet clear problem with the .mov embedded in the http://www.Ubu.com page (great page by the way)

and I found that the movies were not playing giving the annoying "missing plugin" message. 

I messed around for a while but at the end here is a workaround: 

go to about:plugins from a google chrome tab

then check if you have the vlc multimedia plugin enabled (like I had) and disable it like shown in the screenshot

now it should work.
